Welcome to the website for the Functional Data Analysis (FDA) lab group at NCSU!

Functional data analysis is a branch of statistics focused on the visualization, analysis, and interpretation of data that exists on a continuum (such as functions or curves). Recent advances in technology that collects data at short, high frequency intervals has led to a boom in the ubiquity of functional data and its associated methodology. Our FDA group is dedicated to the development, application, and sharing of functional data methods within and outside of the NCSU community.
